QUALIFIERS LISTS

The top 8 from the KYA HS Indoor Classic on 1/3-4 will automatically qualify,  the next 16 in each event will qualify during the December 2024-February 2025 season will be considered. Deadline for qualifying is 2/12/2025.

Indoor Track and Field is not an officially recognized sport in the state of Tennessee and all athletes who qualify must represent club teams as listed in the procedures detailed below.  We hope that this meet will continue to grow in years to come and give those who love indoor track and field in Tennessee an opportunity to be recognized for their accomplishments.

ENTRY DEADLINE – ENTRY FEE
Online entries will open 1/3-4/25. All entries and fees must be received online only by Wednesday February 12, 2025  Entry Fee is $40.00 per athlete, $40.00 per relay. All entry fees must be paid online via credit card prior to acceptance unless paying via school issued check. There are no entry refunds or entry fee changes for scratched athletes or no-shows past the entry deadline of February 12, 2025. All entries submitted without payment by the entry deadline may be scratched.
NO REFUNDS.
ENTRY PROCEDURES
You will be seeded off of marks achieved this indoor season. You may NOT use marks from any prior season or fall time trial.
ELIGIBILITY
This a USATF Open Meet for High School Athletes.  The Tennessee State High School Indoor Track and Field Championships will be contested for athletes who are currently in grades 9-12. 8th graders will only be considered if they have “run up” in the 2024 cross country season.  The maximum number of events any single athlete may compete in (Running, Field and Relays) is four.  Relays Teams will only be considered if they are comprised of athletes from the same high school. You will be scored with other athletes from your high school even if you represent different clubs.

Next 16 TN Athletes from the December 2024-February 2025 season. Deadline for qualifying marks is 2/12/25. Final qualifying list will be posted Monday morning 2/11/25. If you are qualified and decide to decline your invite, please email [email protected] ASAP so we can notate that and move up the next qualifying athlete. Deadline for withdrawal is 2/11/25.

Team areas on the infield. Warm-ups are to take place on the infield.

PACKET PICKUP

Packet Pickup will open at 7:30 AM in the Lobby area and remain open through the meet.

Spike Size Restrictions (spikes will be checked at clerks area)

GATE FEE
General Admission Tickets will be on sale for $15.00.  All athletes will receive an athletes armband in their team or individual packets which must be worn in order to gain access to the facility and track areas.  Coaches will be allocated armbands according to team size. https://knoxvilleyouthathletics.squarespace.com/

Teams and Unattached athletes will be issued a coaches band based off the following ratio:

1-6 athletes = 1 Coaches Band

7-12 athletes = 2 Coaches Bands

13-18 athletes = 3 Coaches Bands

19-24 athletes = 4 Coaches Bands

25+ athletes = 5 Coaches Bands

Plenty of on-campus parking here: Parking (NO PARKING IN LOT 27 HIGHLIGHTED IN RED)

Event Check-In
Check in Procedure: All Track athletes must be checked in when called – usually 30-45 minutes prior to the start of the race. All Field athletes will check in at their event site 45 minutes prior to the start of their event.
IMPLEMENTS

Indoor Shots and Weights will need to be provided by the athlete or may be checked in. Meet host will also have implements available for use.

T-SHIRTS / AWARDS

Commemorative long sleeve shirts and hoodies will be on sale at the meet.

Individual Awards: State Meet Medals will be awarded to places 1-6 along with All-State Certificates.  Relay Teams will be awarded a relay team plaque in addition to medals for the relay members.   Team Awards to the top 5 scoring teams.   Meet T Shirts available in the Lobby area – Packet Pickup.  Awards will be handed out at the awards stand.
