Meet is open to the top 24 HS athletes in each event in the state. Check out Entry Information for the current list starting on 5/13/19. The top 24 MS entrants in each event will be accepted.

The HS State Champion in each event in each class at the TSSAA State Track and Field Championships will receive a free entry into the meet for their state championship event. These athletes would qualify regardless of their overall state ranking meaning they would not have to be top 24 in the state to qualify.

ENTRY DEADLINE – ENTRY FEE

Online entries will open 5/1/19. It is recommended that if you are in the top 24 in the state for your event after 5/1/19 that you go ahead and register. You do not have to pay at that time. If for some reason you fall out of the top 24 entrants, you can cancel your entry before you have paid as there are NO REFUNDS. All entries and fees must be received online by Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Entry Fee is $12.00 per event. $20.00 per Relay with a team max of $300. All entry fees must be paid online via credit card prior to acceptance or via school check at packet pickup. There are no entry refunds or entry fee changes for scratched athletes or no-shows past the entry deadline of May 28, 2019.

ENTRY PROCEDURES

All entries are required to list the participating athlete’s high school as part of the roster submission regardless if you are entering as a school based club or USATF or AAU Club. All results will list the athletes school based affiliation (each school will have a “TC” designation in the results) and not the club team. Team scores will be kept based on the high school club affiliation listed on your online roster submission. YOU CAN ONLY USE YOUR BEST MARK ACHIEVED IN THE CURRENT OUTDOOR SEASON. NO INDOOR OR PREVIOUS SEASON MARKS.

When entering, it will ask you a required question for all athletes. This allows us to know what school your athlete attends. If your school is not listed, email [email protected] to have it added.

ELIGIBILITY

This a USATF Open Meet for High School Athletes. Only athletes that have met the qualifying criteria listed in the “qualifying procedures” will be accepted. The Tennessee Track and Field Meet of Champions will be contested for athletes who are currently in HS Grades 9-12 and MS Grades 6-8. 8th graders will only be considered if they have “run up” in the 2019 outdoor season. The maximum number of events any single athlete may compete in (Running, Field and Relays) is four. Relays Teams will only be considered if they are comprised of athletes from the same high school.

QUALIFYING PROCEDURES – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

After 5/1, you may begin entering online to begin to get an idea where your athlete stands. We will post the top 24 once a week starting Monday 5/13 with updates on 5/20 and a final accepted list on 5/26.

The top 24 at that time (5/26) will be “Accepted” on the View Entries page on Athletic.net. It is recommended if you are not sure if you qualify, that you wait til pay until the accepted list is posted. This will prevent you paying and not qualifying.

After the entry deadline, we will accept others on a case-by-case basis to fill the field if not full. Please email [email protected] if you wish to be considered on the waiting list.

HIGH SCHOOL: THE TOP 24 ATHLETES ON MILESPLIT.COM OR ATHLETIC.NET WILL BE CONSIDERED. STARTING ON 5/13, THE TOP 24 WILL BE POSTED HERE MONDAY. STATE CHAMPIONS IN EACH CLASS RECEIVE AUTOMATIC FREE ENTRY INTO THE MEET. THEY WOULD STILL NEED TO REGISTER VIA ATHLETIC.NET

MIDDLE SCHOOL: THE TOP 24 ENTRANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED REGARDLESS OF PLACEMENT IN THE STATE. PLEASE ONLY PAY IF YOU ARE “ACCEPTED” AS THE TOP 24 ENTRANTS ON THE REGISTRATION PAGE.

All performances must be made in the 2019. Outoor Season starting in March 1 and ending May 25, 2019. All performances must be able to be verified in the TN Milesplit or Athletic.net database in order to be considered for inclusion on the descending order list. Hand times or conversions will not be considered.
