If you are a coach, parent or track and field enthusiast that has been interested in contributing to the sport of track and field by becoming a certified official the Knoxville Youth Athletics – USATF Officials Certification this is the first step in making this wish a reality. This highly informative afternoon long session will emphasize USATF (Youth and Open) and NFHS (High School) rules. This certification clinic will feature both classroom sessions at and hands-on sessions at the track facilites within walking distance of the clinic. Our goal is to have you prepared to officiate in area Middle School, High School and Youth Meets for the 2014 season and beyond.

Clinic Schedule:

1:20 PM – Meet / Greet Drop off Pre- Clinic Forms

1:30 – Welcome, introductions and clinic goals
1:40 – USATF Certification process
1:50 – Philosophy of Officiating
2:05 – Officiating Track Events (starter,umpire, clerk, etc.)
2:35 – Track Events hands-on
3:05 – Vertical Jumps presentation
3:35 – Vertical Jumps hands-on
4:00 – Break – Snacks
4:15 – Horizontal Jumps presentation
4:50 – Horizontal Jumps hands-on
5:20 – Throws presentation
5:50 – Throws hands-on
6:15 – Officiating Other Areas

6:35 – Dinner / Summary, Questions & Answers, Next Steps / take pictures for Officials ID’s, etc.

Cost:
The cost for this outstanding clinic is only $30.00. We have been able to bring this outstanding value to you with the support provided to us by Coach O and The Knoxville Youth Athletics Program. Please bring a copy of your online registration (registration link below) Your clinic fee of $30.00 can be paid online. Your registration fee covers the following:

> Expert Instruction
> USATF Certification Fee (normally $45.00) – You must obtain a USATF Membership online prior to the clinic.
> Snacks, Refreshments and Dinner
